What we collect
Contact details you give us in an enquiry; passport details, date of birth and nationality where a gorilla permit or park registration requires them; dietary, medical and mobility information you choose to share so we can plan safely; and payment records. Our website collects basic analytics about pages visited.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, to purchase permits from the Uganda Wildlife Authority or Rwanda Development Board, to book lodges and flights on your behalf, to meet legal and tax obligations, and — only if you opt in — to send occasional trip ideas.
Who we share it with
Park authorities, lodges, airlines and ground partners, only as needed to deliver your trip. Payment processors. Our accountants and, where legally required, government authorities. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to advertisers.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data for two years if you do not book. Booking and financial records for seven years, as tax law requires. Passport copies are deleted within 90 days of your trip ending.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email info@gorillatreksafaris.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the site work and anonymised analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not run advertising trackers.
Security
Data is held on encrypted, access-controlled systems. We never ask for card details by email or WhatsApp. If someone claiming to be us does, it is not us — call the number on our contact page.
